	The brainchild of Dr Boris Chern, The Redcliffe Hospital Foundation was officially launched in June 2005. At that time Redcliffe Hospital had been in existence for 40 years and had never had a Hospital Foundation. www.rhfoundation.com.au

	The Fred Hollows Foundation was established to continue the work of Professor Fred Hollows, who had made commitments to project work in Eritrea, Indigenous Australia and Vietnam. Following Fred's early work in the area, The Foundation has gone on to work with countries throughout Africa, Asia (South and South East) and Australia focusing on blindness prevention and Australian Indigenous health. In Australia, The Foundation works as both partner and advocate of effective health programs for Indigenous Australians. www.hollows.org.au

	The Humour Foundation is a national charity established in 1997 to promote the health benefits of humour. Clown Doctors is the core project, and children are the focus. Clown Doctor programs are established in all major children's hospitals around Australia and some general hospitals and hospices. Clown Doctors attend to the psycho-social needs of the hospitalised child. They parody the hospital routine to help children adapt to hospital. Clown Doctors distract children during painful or frightening procedures. They dispense doses of fun and laughter and help children forget for a moment that they are ill. 	Peninsula Animal Aid Association Incorporated is a non-profit voluntary charity established in 1971. PAA is an animal refuge shelter that rescues dogs and cats in Redcliffe north of Brisbane. The animals come in as strays .. some from council pounds .. some are surrendered or abandoned .. others are saved from cruel living conditions .. often abused and neglected .. all these animals are placed into wonderful new homes with permanent kind loving families. 	PCYC works in partnership with the Queensland Police Service, all levels of Government, Businesses, Young People and the Community to provide appropriate, affordable and accessible programs and activities for young people, families and adults. www.pcyc.org.au

	4KQ Golden Casket Variety Special Children's Christmas Party . . . The aim of the 4KQ Golden Casket Variety Special Children's Christmas Party is to provide in excess of 3,000 children with a day they will never forget. The children come from four major groups: The terminally ill, the intellectually impaired, physically impaired and also the underprivileged who may be suffering from domestic violence or physical abuse. Children arrive from all over South East Queensland, from as far north as Maryborough, west to Roma and south to Tweed Heads. www.bsccp.com
